Dr. Greg LaVecchia was born and raised in Northern Virginia. He attended Paul VI High School in Fairfax and then, in 1995, he completed his undergraduate degree at Georgetown University. While at Georgetown, Dr. LaVecchia worked in the Department of Pathology, researching possible treatment modalities for cervical cancer. He has always been interested in promoting health and wellness.

Dr. LaVecchia graduated from Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, which is widely recognized as being among the top universities in the United States. Established in 1863, it is the second-oldest dental school in continuous existence in the U.S. and has a longstanding tradition of comprehensive curriculum, including both strong academic and clinical training. Dr. LaVecchia maximized his time and learning while at Temple, and he has been devoted to continuing education and training throughout his career. Dr. Greg LaVecchia provides comprehensive dental care in Arlington, Virginia with a special focus on cosmetics, headache prevention, and oral surgery.

Professional organizations of which Dr. LaVecchia is a member include the American Dental Association (ADA), Virginia Dental Association (VDA), Northern Virginia Dental Society (NVDS), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). He is also a Fellow of the American Dental Implant Association (ADIA), which is a certification awarded to members who demonstrate the highest standards in implant dentistry and dedication to their profession. To certify, Dr. LaVecchia completed 150 hours of course credits from Implant Seminars, passed both a written and an oral examination, provided his current curriculum vitae and a letter of recommendation from another doctor who is an ADIA Fellow, and he attended the Annual Conference where his induction ceremony was held. Dr. LaVecchia wants to be the best dentist he can be, and he wants to give patients who are missing teeth a second chance for their smiles.

During his free time, Dr. Greg LaVecchia enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter and their beloved dog, Tito.

Dr. Louis J. LaVecchia, DDS

After completing a tour of duty in the Vietnam War, Dr. Louis LaVecchia returned in 1971 to open his private dental practice in Northern Virginia. At that time he was also offered an appointment to the full-time faculty at Georgetown University in the Department of Operative Dentistry, where he served from 1970 to 1990. Many of the dentists in the area will say that they learned everything they know from Dr. Louis LaVecchia.

His many honors include election as a Fellow of the American College of Dentists and the Academy of General Dentistry, and election to Omicron Kappa Upsilon (the National Dental Honor Fraternity). Dr. LaVecchia is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the Academy of Operative Dentistry, and the District of Columbia Dental Society.

Dr. Louis LaVecchia has lived in Northern Virginia with his wife and family for more than 40 years. In addition to his son, Dr. Greg LaVecchia, he has two daughters and several grandchildren who occupy most of his free time.

Dr. Jennifer Bobbio, DDS

Dr. Bobbio was born in Lakewood, NJ and raised in Fairfax, VA. She attended Fairfax High School and went on to earn her Bachelor of Science degree in biology with a concentration in business from Virginia Tech University. The summer before graduating from Virginia Tech, Dr. Bobbio did an internship at a dental start-up practice in Centreville and worked at the front desk. She was always interested in the clinical experience and wanted to work chairside with the patients. This is where she realized her passion for dentistry.

Dr. Bobbio attended Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry and graduated in 2010. While at VCU, she served as Community Service Chair and participated in nine Mission of Mercy projects, giving back to underserved areas in the state of Virginia. Upon graduation, Dr. Bobbio completed a one-year General Practice Residency at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Baltimore, MD. During her residency, she gained advanced training in all facets of general dentistry, including the treatment of medically compromised patients and the placement and restoration of dental implants.

Dr. Bobbio is dedicated to continuing her education. She has served as a delegate, editor, continuing education chair, vice president, and currently president-elect of the Virginia Academy of General Dentistry. In June of 2017, Dr. Bobbio received her Fellowship Award with the AGD after completing over five hundred hours of continuing education and passing the Fellowship exam. She is also an active member of the Spear Dental Education Study Club, which meets with other local general practitioners and specialists to advance their comprehensive treatment planning.

When not in the office, you can find Dr. Bobbio spending time with her husband, Ryan, and chasing her five-year-old, Gabriella, three-year-old, Gavin, and three-month-old, Giuliana. She also enjoys traveling, exploring Virginia wineries, and taking classes at Orange Theory.
